Hi I have a David Brown tractor 880 Selectematic mid to late 60's
The 3 point linkage will not lift if the tractor is pointing down hill at all, even on a slight slope.
I've had a suggestion from a person on the forum that the tractor may possibly have the wrong transmission dipstick hence the oil level could be low or incorrect and I guess it's possible.
Is there someone that has this same tractor and could please measure the length of the dipstick in their tractor and let me know the exact length. Probably best to measure from the bottom of the stick to the top of the rim on the stick where it sits into the transmission and don't worry about measuring the handle part of the stick.
