under 30 degrees

When the weather is freezing I start my 1997 6.5 turbo deisel and go have another cup of coffee. They are sure right about using the block heater, plugged in it does not turn all the way over, not it wants to crank before it starts. The one biggest maintanence item on this truck is change the fuel filter every 10,000 mlies or ask for trouble.I buy all my deisel at a local dealerand have never had a gel problem in the 6 years I have owned this truck.I do run some Howe's in it about every 3rd or 4th fill-up.

I plug my Cummins in a few hours before I get ready to start it even if it is not that cold. Helps it crank a lot easier. Sure does help get the heat going faster too! :globesnow :zoomin:
