My brother that lives far, far away has a scooter for disabled to ride. I don't know if it is 3 or 4 wheeled. There is nothing on the scooter that gives a slight hint who mfg. it or where it came from. Anyway, a tooth broke off the drive belt and he is trying to buy a new one and we can't seem to find one. The belt is 18" in circumference. The number on the belt is 180XL037 made by Goodyear. The only place on the computer that I can find that number is in a Kirk Rudy site, but I can't order from that site. Kirk Rudy cross reference's it to # 109015. That cross reference's to Goodyear lawnmower belt 83270. Maybe some of you computer guys can find something. Thanks.

Here is a nice link on the dynamics and size specs on the GY 83270 belt

Here is a site where you can order it, but that model number shows up at a 27 inch belt. This number does not equate to an L037

I wonder if it is this L037: http://www.goodyearindustrialproducts.com/powertransmission/products/pdf/open_end_pd.pdf It seems a little long and I'm too lazy to do the math right now :)

I'll look a little more after I get the kids to bed.

Update On Scooter Belt

Sometimes people do things that make your heart feel good. I gave my brother the information about the scooter belt. He called someone in Ga. that told him they didn't have the belt 180XL037 in stock, but he would check on it for him. He took my brother's phone number. He thought that would be all to that, but two hours later a gentleman from Los Angeles called my brother and asked him where he wanted the belt mailed to. When asked how much for the belt, he said "no charge". He didn't even charge him postage. He told me he is mobile again and giving his neighbors heck again. Anyway, thanks for the help guys. Yep that is a great story!

I agree ---- There are still people left who really value people over politics and profit. And that is good sometimes...Glad to hear it all work out for your brother and his scooter. Let us know if you need anything else, Merlin.
