Curtis, what did u find.?? Dirty filters, water.. or was it the Inj. Pump??
Case IH Mxm 175 FUEL ?
ive got a mxm 175 that’s been giving me fits running as of late. Started off by not starting for a whole day, would crank but not fire. Checked all fuses and relays to be ok and nothing. Finally started after sitting. Disced a field the following day only to have it cut power on its own and not go over 1660rpms. Stalled when I returned home. Assumed it was a lift pump which I changed out only to have the same issue with the new one. Upon first firing it will run to 2200rpms but immediately cut to 1660 to not go back up. I’m assuming injection pump ?

Reading up on the 175..there seems to be BIG problems w/ the inj. pump FALLING OFF the engine..
U better go have a look at the mounting bolts holding the pump on.!!!
IF u find them loose, remove & put on some thread locker{loc-tite} & tightem them back up, TIGHT.

The injection pump was the cause of the issues. Now only to have the transmission lock up in gears 1-10Curtis, what did u find.?? Dirty filters, water.. or was it the Inj. Pump??
