The interesting part is the remaining heavy-oil that can be used as is or further processed to grease etc. basically reinventing the oil revolution in a smaller scale. Scary that people have to resort to this things.
Depending on the plastic melted determine the grade of extracted oil too. The softer the plastic with really no cringle-cringle, the better the oil content. Plastic with no mineral fill nor glass fill are the best to melt down as the oil content is higher.
I've seen some other ways of melting and allowing the fumes bubble up thru water to remove impurities. Then letting the extraction fuel sit for a 1/2 day. the fuel is on the top being liter than the water.
I did like the video of the veggie oil being straight add to run the little diesel. I've always blended 50/50 with my non-emmison tractor. No smoke and yes, you have a sweet fried fish-n-chips smell.
As for used motor oil or used hydraulic oil blended with gasoline, I've not tried that. I bet the synthetic oil would work really nice over the dino oils. And I wonder about 5W20 oil vs. 15W40 oil for the gasoline blending. The guy in his IBC totes with used oil never did say the oil ranges taken in nor specified from the oil change place what oil grade was their best sellers.
Should things go heavy with EVs and gasoline becomes un-obtain-able, this could be the trick to still transport in the future. At present, no vehicle reg, license, tags, etc are needed to drive tractors on the roadways here. Yet, the rest of the world is like this. As we leave the freedoms here, chances are we'll loose that too.
