I have a Astro grav feed spray gun,[a nice cheap gun BTW] and during my packup move, and reset up in my shop, I lost the cap for the paint gun, the cleaning kit, and the little manual that came with it. First does anyone have one of these, and maybe send me, or post a scan of the booklet for me? Also any idea where to get a replacement cap for the paint cup? Working on getting set up for painting the 8N, so I want everything ready.

Parts

Mytoolstore.com has a pretty fair selection of Astro Pneumatic air tools and paint guns including the HVLP and gravity feed guns. Not sure about specific air caps and needles but they have an 800 number and it may be worth the call. All the information they need is your model #.

Astro jumped all over the Binks product line when their patent expired a few years back....so many Binks models interchange with the Astro gun body, and vice versa. The tolorences of the Astro are not quite as stringent as the Binks, but the overall design works very well.

Paul- looks like you all have it handled, but...just in case; if something comes up and you cant get the part(s) you need, I have a similar detail gun made by Campbell Hausfield that I have used once to paint a bunch of little league football helmets- If need be, I'll send you mine to borrow if ya want. It is pretty much identical to my old Astro gun which I no longer have. My scanner is not installed right now, but I could also send you the owners manual thing too if you think it would help.

Good luck, and Im anxious to see the 8N!

May be a little misunderstanding. The cap I am missing is the one that covers the top of the paint cup.

Also Here is a picture of the gun.....

Is that what style yours is Greg?

Cup Cap??

Hey that's not too serious, really. Any good automotive paint store should have a cup cover as most cups are universal in size.

I thought you were refering to an air CAP :D ...

Ya I figure I was not to clear there:D :D

I did use it yesterday, but only had a small ammount of paint in it, so it was not a problem. Now I just need to learn how to set it up. Been a LONG time sence I spryed anything.

OK, I thought you were talking about a siphon type gun. Thats a nice little gun. Id like to have a good gravity fed gun like that.
