been reading for a few days and thought I'd join in. I got my tractor two weeks ago. It's a 1952 8n given to me by my father. It came with a 6' blade, a 2 bottom plow and a "skyline 90" front end loader. Family and I drove 600 miles one way, WY to ND to pick up the tractor. Got it home and proceeded to use the loader and a chain to pick the plow out of the Pickup box. Having cleared the truck, I hit the brakes and the chain slipped (my fault). As I'm watching a pretty blue fountain of hydraulic oil wash over the hood of my new baby all I could think is "52 years on planet earth, I got to use it 10 minutes." Cheap lesson on double checking rigging.

Welcome! I am a N enthusiast! I have owned several Ns at one time and one 601 Powermaster. I am down to just my trusty N
hybrid. It is a 1951 N with a 1949 front mount engine. Here is a picture of my N. Thanks for joining up and hope to see you around! Best Regards, Andy. Be sure to post pics! :D

Hello from Down South (of Wyoming that is)

Nutz,

Glad to see you're getting into your 8N.

I'm working On mine that I pulled off a hill near Lance Crick, Wyo last fall.

I've been getting great suggestions on my overhaul to increase power under "Major Overhaul Process Tips"

Good luck Squaring away the results of having exceptionally fine brakes. (Glass half full)
