Hello to all tractorers of all tiers! I brought a yanmar ym1300d some time ago that had better days. One by one i made it alive, like a completly repair of 4x4 front traction and a new voltage regulator, new glow plug and bla bla...i never had a tractor before so i am a noob saibot, i am an auto engineer, this is how i managed to repair succesfully so many of the tractor functions; My question..after i removed down the rotary tiller i have noticed that the 3 point hitch lifter does not descend...with tiller it was descending, i guess, because of the weight; I was expecting for that lift to do the up and down movements with pressure, not descend gravitationally, so i can stick the tiller or the plow really hard into de ground...my question is...should this 3 point hitch lift work as i described or for descending is just gravitational? I mean for lifting it does a perfect job...for locking the position, also...but if i put the lever on descending, i have to hardly pull the lift arms down...i mention that the "oil" inside transmision was more a mud than oil...how are your yanmar descending the arms?thanks in advance!

Thanks alot man! I had in mind tomorrow to disassemble and take a look. But i guess its pointless in this case. Anyway, i think i can live with it..i asked because my only reference point for the 3 point hitch is the beast from UTB's ...those motherf****r Tiger tanks were released from factory with very tick steel scoops and i saw many times an UTB sticking itself with that scoop deep into the ground to efficiently use the also factory made winch from behind without being dragged backward to the heavy pulled object...but those machines were grotesque, cannot compare the YM1300D wich is a small toy that i need more than a huge behemot to fit between the trees and small grape vines.

What tiller brand and model do you have? If it's the OE tiller for the YM1300, I can assist really well and possibly know where you can obtain the full manual for it too. ;) Plus the parts network has sprockets, bearings, chains and tines should you need to rebuild it too.

The previous owners used the WRONG hydraulic transmission fluid. ONLY use Yanmar TF500A or John Deere J20C Hy-Gard spec oil. TSC and Farm & Fleet Universal works as it meets those specs. BUT, read the jugs first!

Did your YM1300 come with the re-useable hydraulic filter that you can clean and re-use or is it that awful cartridge crappy one?

BTW, we have a dedicated YANMAR section on this forum too. LOTS of helpful info there.
