Hello from Arkansas, I have a 95 model JD 750 4x4 that I'm having problems with in the steering dept. This is the second time that it has stripped out and I'm wondering if it's a common problem or maybe I didn't get it put back together right thus causing it to do it again. If anyone has had any experience with this I would be so thankful for any and all input. Thanks in advance,,,,

Not a problem that is all that common, but when it happens it is time to pull the steering column and be absolutely sure it is not bent or collapsing. Look near the bottom for a wrinkle or pushed out section of the tube column itself.

What happens is operators grab the wheel to swing into the seat, or operate on very rough ground and use the steering wheel to support the hammering weight of their upper body, and bend or balloon the lower end of the steering column and put the input shaft in a slight bind. That trashes the rebuild.
