Working on my IH Cub Lo-boy. When pushing the starter switch nothing happens until the 3rd or 4th attempt, then starter fires up. Thought it was a faulty switch, but new switch is doing the same thing. Any idea what else could be causing this?

My MF 210 has had starter problems for some time and today quit altogether. In the past the starter solenoid would click but the starter would not engage. To start I would turn the key to the start position quickly 2 times in succession. After about 2 or 3 tries the starter would engage and...

I have a Kawasaki FR651V 21.5 hp lawn mower engine with starting issues. I used to start it by choking it and as soon as it turned over I would pop the choke off and it would run. But I couldn't get it restarted once it was hot. I would have to let it cool for 1/2 hr and then it would start up...

I have an older L3710 glide shift that has been running just fine since I bought it a year ago. On cold mornings, I have to let the Glow Plugs turn off, turn the tractor for about 30 secs and then repeat the process again to get the machine to start. No big deal. Last week, I got on the...

My IH-464 gas will turn over but no spark. When I turn on the key it fires on the first click rather than the start position and sometimes turns over on start position. I have replaced the rectifier and the start switch without any fix. Any suggestions?

I have a Ford 8N tractor that I had starting problems with and it still runs on the original 6 Volt system. I found that by changing the spark plug wire to a solid core copper (from Steiner) instead of the newer carbon core, that the starting problem has been alleviated and the tractors runs...
