Good morning. Ford 8000 with Simms 6 cyl Pump, has sat for about 10 years. I just inherited this machine. Fuel to Pump but no output to injectors. Took off cover and everything appears to be frozen up. It had no oil and was very dry. I assume the next step is to remove The pump? Thanks.

Yes, the best next move is to remove the pump..
Have u done this before.??
U have to time it BEFORE removing it.!!
If u would like to contact me directly,
I can send u a picture of the timing marks..
that are in the front of the engine..
My screen name at aoldotcom..
Looking forward to hearing from you.

I checked the cut off and it turns when I pull the cutoff cable and the throttle is working. I have it wide open when turning the motor over, but no fuel comes out any of the 3 lines at the injectors. The engine is turning pretty fast. Any suggestions, Please.

I bought this1973 ford 3000 tractor that has been sitting for several years. I cleaned the tank and changed the single filter. It has a CAV pump. I have bleed all the lines and removed all air. Turn the engine over and squirts fluid at bleeder very good but I get no fluid to injectors.

Hello LouNY - a few days ago you sent me some information on an air bag kit for a Grammer tractor seat and it appears it is what I need, however, I couldn't find an address or phone number to order it. (Perhaps I just don't know how to open it). Could you send me information that I would need to order this kit? Thank you very much

It may have been from this place,
TractorSeats.com I tried to put a link on here and won't let me.
The repair kits are available from several places and prices range all over.

I am new to this forum and I'm not real clear on how this works .
I saw you asked about the pump rebuild.
I can't even find what you sent me. Was that a private thread?
My friend in the parts dept. Told me where they sent theirs for rebuild.
Don't want to burn any bridges but will talk about those costs one on one. They broke invoice down and you could make sense of that.

Hi Bob. I stumbled across an old post about mounting a long 5320 loader onto a 4000. I'm in the same boat. I have the loader arms, bucket, etc. But the mounting brackets don't match up. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you send me a pic or two to show how you mounted it? Thanks!

I have a 2000 MF 263, turbo charged, Perkins 903.27 T engine. tractor. Other day it started surging so I changed the fuel filter. The surging stills continues. The tractor starts and runs good for another 30 mins or so and starts surging and shuts down. Anyone out there have any ideas what I should check next or troubleshooting tips. Thanks
