Real nice tractor! I personally like the older style ( square opposed to rounded ) and find them easier to work on.

Im not very familiar with the ages/ styles of these particular tractors, so what do you mean by square vs. rounded?

As to the action shots, i sure hope so! our ground has been planted already for this year, but we have a grass
field/ hill, that we are thinkin about taking the ol' 5-16s to, and possibly making it an alf alfa patch, so there may be some plowing pics in the next couple of weeks.

Ford150farmer.

These might answer your question, look at the shapes.

Left one square, Right one Rounded.

Cheers

OK! I gotcha! I was wondering if it was something like the difference in the rounded fenders vs the flat top fenders that you could get on different 706's. It never even occured to me that it was such a big difference as the two
tractors above. I much prefer these older work horses. and to be honest im not really brand loyal with tractors, but i have to say, im really liking this IH!

I have a question... Does anyone know if the pieces of metal between the hood and the frame and behind the grill surround should be white, or red like they are? I know on our 706 they are white. I have also seen some 1586's that
had these peices white as well. Did someone just paint these? or was there a model year where they painted them red, along with the cab? I'm pretty sure part of the cab should be white too...

Mate, go to tractorData.com and take a look at their photo, part of the cab is white but the grille is too.

Cheers
