Took this in trade along with a 2001 Huskee (also an MTD) and $500 cash for a 1997 MTD tractor in the summer of 2011. It had a leaking valve cover gasket, needed a carb rebuild, steering wheel was cracked. Sharpened blades, replaced both drive belts, changed oil, new spark plug, new air filter, added a fuel shutoff valve, replaced the cracked seat. Sold for $375 in fall of 2011.
