What year AC B?

I have become interested in getting an AC B. As I've been looking at a lot of info, it has become apparent that the 1939 B is more desireable (at least around here) for some reason. Is a 1939 really the best production year to look for? What's that reason?
Is there really much difference between the different years? What should I look for in an AC B, possible problems to look out for , etc when looking at a prospective purchase?

Lot's of questions, but I appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Al

Myself I would look for a later model that has electric start.
Make sure it stays in gear.

What year did they start having the electric start? How about the hyd rear lift? Was that also only available after a certain year? What year did lights appear on them?

I have the remains of a B model Allis Chalmers, one row wide front. There are no serial numbers but there is a Patent label, and looking up the patents, several are from 1968. I don't think they made B's that late.
Any suggestions on how to determine approximate year of manufacture?

I forgot all about this thread until I just got an email that dtyree had replied.

Anyway, I ended up buying a 1944 B that came with five implements. I'm going to try to post pic's, but my computer hasn't been cooperating lately.
