My granpa just bought a wd45 allis yesterday at a sell, I was wondering what the difference was between a wd and a wd45?

The biggest thing is the motors
WD has a 201 cubic inch and the 45 has a 226. You can tell real easy by looking at the right side of the block, A WD has a plate that bolts to the side.
The 45 had curved shifters BUT late WDs also had them too. If you run the serial # you can tell the year and for sure what it is

hey guys, i thought i had a wd45 but i am finding out that it is a wd. anyway my block is cracked, the machine shop says they can fix it but i am wondering about a block for a wd45, i know where i can get one, but i am wondering if the crank is the same, and if there are any other differences?

Where is it cracked??

If its between the cylinders its fine. Unless its where the Orings seal at the bottom of the block.
