I took pictures of the only two sets of numbers I could find on the tractor, one set is on the right side of the rear axle housing and the other is on the top of the shifter housing. Can someone tell me what they mean? I don't even know for sure what year this tractor is. The rear end numbers are: AM-3635-7 adn the shift box numbers are: 208663.
Thanks to anybody that can help me here, I have a few problems with the tractor but I cant ask questions until I know what I have.

Those are not the number you want, if this is the Allis Chalmers that you posted pictures of the number you are looking for is stamped into the rear end housing on the back and to the left of the cover. My guess is it's 1953/1957 need the numbers to know more, sometimes they are hard to read, 10 coats of paint, grease, rust, you know what I mean!

Often the numbers are stamped in with a metal stamp and are recessed, not raised, so you may need to do some sanding off of paint to see them. Look for where Pete said and I think you'll find them.
