New here and to Allis Chalmers

Hello all:
I am new to the forum and to the Allis in general. I grew up using a Ferguson F-40 that me grandfather bought new back in the day and that my father has had totally restored. So now I am looking for a tactor to use here on my horse far to use for pushing snow and also lifting round bales here and there. I have a friend that has an Allis WD that he has put a 3-point hitch on and worked on the hydros. It needs repainted and some tuning up but I feel would be worth playing around with.
As I do not know too much about the Allis WD I am wondering what my limitations will be lifting round bales with the rear, and also just about them in general. It is the row-crop front end so I know to be careful on hills and such but what else can you etll me about the super cool tractors?

I know nothing about them, but there's a great deal of wisdom here on the forum. I just wanted to welcome you here. Hope you enjoy it! Chris
