It was a nice afternoon.

Great weather here today, sun shining and temps in the mid 70s

Ran the lawnmower over a section of garden I used last year but won't have for next year. Then I got the Kioti out and tilled up a 100X100 patch of my neighbors old garden that he hasn't used in a few years, I'll be putting potatoes there come March.
Then I cleared out enough of the shop building to get my Allis-Chalmers CA out. I've been feeling kind of guilty about the ole girl. I put her away in December, added fuel stabilizer, made sure the anit-freeze was up to snuff, topped off all the fluids and just hadn't started her since. I'd put the trickle charger on it last night and today she fired up and ran strong after no more than 4-5 revolutions of the engine.

Hooked up an old drag type spring tooth harrow and ran it over the patch I won't be using next year to get all the ruts and ridges out of it so it can be mowed.

I like my little Kioti but the old Allis still has a place in my garden. The differences 60 years makes in the running of the 2 tractors is pretty neat to compare.

Every time I get on my 1953 's' series Case, someone starts singing the theme from 'Green Acres'! Somewhere in it's past life, the steering wheel got bent. The 'fix' was to bolt a 'suicide' knob on it and drive, drive, drive. That's what I have done too. There has been no attempt to fix the steering wheel.
Now if I could just turn the RAIN off! Tuesday was a beautiful day. Monday, wed, thursday were 'good' days, but it rained, the wind blew and it was cold....
