NH TS6000 Fuel Usage

New here and somewhat new to tractors. I am looking to put together number for snow removal with a tractor and inverted blower and I am trying to calculate approx cost of fuel.

I am wondering what kind of fuel usage I could budget on for a New Holland TS6000, or similar. I may to with kubota but I am hoping that they don't vary too much. Not sure if it matters but planning on doing smaller lots so reverse and forward changes will be frequent, not sure how that effects the consumption.

Anyway hopefully I will gain lots of other great knowledge here.

Kind of hard to answer your question, GLandscape. Not enough info on how your tractor is set up. Also, amounts and types of snow conditions will factor into the equation. For an example, I plow the same lots with a 60 hp tractor. Eight inches of light, powdery snow will burn about three gals/hr. The same lots with six inches of wet, heavy snow will burn around four to five gals/hr. One factor is, I can plow around 1000 rpm with the light snow, but up to 1500 rpm with the heavy stuff. Hope this helps!

Somewhere within your owners manual, it might tell you. I know that my 40 HP 990 will, according to the manual, use 8 gallons in 6 hours at 70 percent load at 2,000 rpms.

Thanks, I don't have a tractor yet, I am trying to figure my cost of running one for commercial snow removal so I can figure what I need to charge hourly. Maybe I can find a manual online with specs.

Maybe I anyone with a 80-120hp tractor can just say what kind of fuel use they get and that will hopefully give me an average to start with.

Hey guys, I thought I would finish this off is anyone else was looking for an answer in the future.
I went to my local JD dealer and they directed to to the Nebraska Tractor Test Lab. You can look up most tractor models and they will give you a whole wack of info, including Gal/hour at rated rpm and HP.

I think I found what I was looking for their, and I also appreciate the advise given here. Thanks Cam
