I'm a new owner.....bought a Ford 445C Industrial tractor....great front end loader,
pull a 7' heavy duty Howse rotary cutter. It's a 1980 or '81, but runs strong.
Complete with leaks. Glad to be here!

Well I guess I should introduce myself also. My name is Charlie and I live in southern Oregon.

About 12 years ago I decided that I need a small tractor that would be used to level the drive way and move some snow. I found a JD model M that I purchased. Guess I kind of lost my head on that one because as a kid I ran a lot of JDs.

Than I found a 1973 4000 ford and bought that one and sold the JD. This ford is more to what I wanted. I now have a front loader that I found in Washington plus a landscape rake, a back blade plus a couple more things that I have built.

Now it is just a matter of keeping the 4000 running. A couple of weeks I replaced the starter and the starter safety switch.

So that is about if for me. I think I will like it here, just would like to see more information on the 4000 as that is what I need help with at times.

Oh ya, I left the farm and tractors in 1960 to go into the Navy and now I have a tractor 50 years later that has evolved way beyond what I used as a kid.

Who had heard of depth control in 1960?
And I guess I hi-jacked some one elses thread with my first one, Sorry. If I knew how to change this to my own thread, I would
