When I tore down my 8N, the front pulley had been a little loose. Mine had the steel pulley, becouse it was running a hydro pump. I had sence removed all that stuff. Well, the pulley is cracked. When I look for a replacement, should I search out another steel one, or would a stock style tin one do the job OK for me? Any pros, or cons to eather?

get the steel one for the next guy. every time ive gone to remve the stamped kind ive ruined them to remove. for the steel pulleys i just made a plate that bolts to the drive holes and have no problems.

Good point about the stamped ones. I never thought of that before. Seem the steel ones are pretymuch the only out there also, so seems that will be the way I go
