I don't actually have any but my grandmother still has the Model R my grandpa bought brand new and she still has a 445 that was bought used. Both have not been ran lately but are being stored inside, I hope some day my father will get them going again I'd love to use either one.

andy if they are not being used it would be a good idea to check the valves and oil the cylynders and turn them over once in a while to keep them from seizing the r engine is bad for locking up. good luck with them

Bear,
Thanks for the tips, especially with the R. Its the most cherished tractor by my father and uncles out of all the tractors my Grandpa had mainly because he bought it new in the late 30's and the R was always depenedable + our local connection to MM living just outside Minneapolis.

Never had a MM, but know a few who have had them. The neighbor up the road has a 1966 302U he bought new. It's a propane machine. He really likes it and has used it hard for years. He has had a loader on it since about 1978. I live right at 1/2 mile from him and can hear that thing fire up. It's beat, worn out, covered in about 1" of muck, leaks all over the place, and generally needs LOTS of work, BUT - you go out any morning - even below zero - and she fires right up!

Fordfarm,

I know what you mean... these things just keep on going.... and going.... and going...

This thing is just " too big" for our 2 acrea farm....

We use the Ford 2 N for all our "workings" and it is time to sell this to someone who will use it...

Anyway... I got my eye..... on something different to replace it already!! (Just what we need... another one)

Take care and talk to you later here. "DJ"
