HELP - Anyone know what tractor this is?

This photo was taken around 1950-1955. It's my father

The only info I have on this tractor from my father is that it was made in Germany.

Can anyone help?

Thanks for the info! That's a great start indeed. I'll look though some models and try to find the seemingly unique rectangular grill on my fathers tractor.

Any other info from anyone would be GREATLY appreciated!

Could be a couple of French, Italian, or German Companies that have since been bought up - It could even be a Stihl Tractor - they made them before they made hand tools - will check with some of my factory reps.

Found it - Eicher see http://www.flickr.com/photos/42226823@N03/3903290036/ and here http://www.flickr.com/photos/67855182@N00/4668938126/ The name on the grill is in cursive Eicher Mammut some had the logo on the top of the hood some just had a chrome strip it depended upon which country it was sold in - options such as head lights also depended upon the country - large light indicated the European main land as it had to meet Road Safety standards because since WWII very few people owned cars - many farmers had to choose between a family car/truck and a tractor and would even go to town using their tractors - still like that except now they have rail systems. smaller lights on them were add on and the tractor was sold without the factory lights. that is actually a 1962-1963 model see also http://www.watzeels.nl/geschiedenis.html.

You are right in that the photo is the European model as it was taken in Portugal. Now I need to find out a bit more about this model. I’ve seen the photos online, but the rear fenders (the part over my dads back wheels) are very short leaving the rear wheels exposed. On the models I've seen online, the rear wheels are covered on top.

Is it possible that my dad’s tractor is a different model from Eicher?

Fenders were optional too - some had this narrow configuration for Vineyards - I have seen some with these fenders on line. The more elaborate the options the more the cost. You are Welcome - glad to help.
