American products and industry are no longer competive and they are about to take a HUGE nose dive. Almost NOTHING is 100% made in the USA any longer.
How's that change coming along that so many voted for?

MOving the broke Tractor..
From a millwrights perspective, I would use a few chains and binders to keep it from seperating further, while wrapping that visible shaft in cloth then duct tape to prevent further damage.
When we cant take things apart on site, we bind them to prevent further loosening then pick em up an haul em off to a shop.
Use a rubber tire fork lift to sit it on a flatbed wrecker.
That unit isnt all that heavy and its likely the fork lift can be rented for a couple hrs cheap enough...
My 3 Cents...

Thanks for the suggestion Mr Phill
I was also considering the chains and binders option. The problem is that I'm not sure where I could attach the chains without damaging something else. Also (see photo) I'm not sure a large forklift could pick it up - there is really nothing solid in front of the backhoe frame.
I'm actually considering just detaching the various lines and linkages and let it split where it broke and lifting the two pieces with a crane onto my trailer. The problem with that is that I would have to get underneath the tractor to pull the front pins that hold the backhoe to the tractor. I'm not thrilled with the idea of working under the tractor in it's present state. The dirt under the tractor is very soft and unstable because I was filling in a utility trench when it broke.

assesment
decide how much weight you have to move. make a decision to get it done and do it.
there is no perfect way to do this kind of move.
there is only a moving forward decision. bind it, move it. Any other aspect will only cost you more time and money. Unless the dealer does it, You got it to do Bro.
you could buy my gas, and I will come up there an spank dat puppy while assuming responsibility for maintaining its current condition.
I promise you , I will get it on the truck/trailer without bringing the end of the world.
This is what I do for a living. move it fix it, make it work and make it last....
Best drive buy you ever didnt see on the news.....
Mr Phill
call me an make it happen...

There you go gravning. Pay Phil to fix come up and fix it. Of course you may have to put up with his questionable hygiene but you'll get your tractor fixed

Dear Mr Chrp!!
I will have you know I absolutely Reasemble dat remark !!!
mm?? dat dont quite read right....
Check this photo. It is the view of my driveway from the street.
Past the truck you can see it goes down aways, then turns a little left and starts up an 8% grade hill that runs for about 1/4 mile. The neighbors call it deadmans run. When it's raining or after a good rain for a few days, only I use it, no visitors and no worries about the wife following me To date, 2 ups trucks, 1 mail driver. 3 insurance people and misc other visitations have been in the 12ft ditch at the bottom.
Will post the ditch area later on.

Fixter it Up !
The fixer upper is attached to mine. It doesent look quite that bad any more, but I have yet to do much on the exterior.
The original builder abandoned it back in 05, and it sat un attended untill I found it in March last year.
IN the mean time, local pilferage accounted for $30k in wiring, 10k in fixtures windows and doors etc..
What you see in that photo in what I found in addition to new trees etc growing up in all the wrong places.
Willpost a power point with timeline in a few days , give ya an idea what Im dealing with...
Preciate yer interest in my little piece of heavens Hell !!
Heres a shot of the rear the first time I saw it...
Peace

What are you plans for it? Are you going to finish it and sell it or is that going to be your new "guest house" for all us TF members who want to stop by for a visit?
Hey that sounds like a great field trip for the gang. Lets all go to Phil's place and help him with his project. I know how to swing a hammer... sometimes I even remember which end to use

Guest House!
Guest House U say ??
The Second building is a 2 story 1200 sf per floor so called Garage. I say garage because it has a garage door.
Based on what I found inside, it appears to be a guest house or maybe motherinlaw kinda deal.
It was fully wired and plumbed for kitchen bath, it's own septic system etc, the bathroom was installed and intact bath vanity, kitchen cabinets etc. The room on the garage door side was packed full of 4x8 ply and 20 or so cabinets and tons of tile groiut an mortar which assume the thieves found to heavy or just didnt have a market for. It is currently used as the shop and storage.
We plan on living here for now. given the value of this based on $150 a sf, if someone wants it when Im done, they can fer sure make an offer, I would rather be back out west.
Heres a photo of the errmmm shop/garage. Looks like a lot of homes if ya ask me but havent decided what it's gonna be yet.
Yawl come on out here an have some Q and a Brew why dont ya, I got a spot U can rack out in

Sounds like a great plan Phill. I like the picture of you taking a picture of the garage. Kind of a double exposure
It also sounds like you have more than your share of projects for the next many years. Good luck and keep sharing those pics.

I have only heard of a very few JInmas breaking this way, and it seems they all had the factory loader and most had the factory subframe backhoe. The subframe attaches to the loader brackets with a pin and it acts like a hinge. Add teh weight of the backhoe on the rear and a full bucket on the front, bounce along at a good speed or suddenly stop the bucket while dropping a full load by letting off the handle before it hits the ground and you have a recipe for troulbe.
There is no JINMA representation in the US. the Jinmas are imported and supported by the individual importers. This is true of almost all Chinese tractors. The Importer is your only support, other than aftermarket parts suppliers.
I only imported a few JINMAs as I was a Farm Pro dealer for several years but I happen to have a slightly used housing in stock. probably have the input and PTO shafts too if yours are bent. We swpapped transmissions due to a noise and saved the parts.

Been good. I've dropped in here a couple times, not a lot of conversation about the Chiense tractors. I'm also a KIOTI dealer, maybe I should be more thorough in reviewing the posts. Our business continues to grow. Now brining in DF tractors under teh AgTrac and now soon to be ARTRAC brand name. very nice tractors, most advanced Chassis I have found to date in under 50HP tractor from China with syncro suttle trans. hydros on the horizon. Also just became a dealer for YTO tractors for 40 HP and up to 125. Survived the Farmtrac debacle. still here!
