Tractor Beam, it is not unusual for us this time of year to see 40+ degree changes per 24 hours. One year it was 70 degrees in the morning and then dropped 45 degrees in a matter of 6 hours and we got a foot of snow........That was in the 70's in Alabama

After spending all day outside, I came in to soak up some heat and protene.
A little while later, it was snowing in every direction it could! It was even snowing UP at times.
I was taking my car for a service appt for monday am, and was down to 20 mph so I could find the road! I figured that he would rather the car not be driven there on monday and be dripping when it got there.
He was there, so we put the car inside to melt off. On the way home, it quit snowing, but the temp did a 20 degree nosedive in an hour.

Okay, yesterday it was 46 in the big city which is almost like T shirt weather for us considering it was the last day of January, now today.... February 1st , it's snowing.

Calling for single numbers and 45 mph gusts, with 8+ inches, starting now.

Brutal temps and wind, but the snow never came.. Let the car warm up, as soon as you start moving the temp guage nosedives and the heater blows cold!

I 'FOUND' winter!

We have dodged the bullet this year because of 'La Nina! The temps in the south pacific have altered our 'jetstream' to the piont that out 'nasty' weather has flown across the atlantic and killed 650 porple in Europe so far! The Danube is closed down for 400 miles. 250 ships hauling coal, iron ore and food are frozen to a river that has not frozen this hard for 30 YEARS!!
The canals of Venice are passable by Ice skates! It is snowing in the Sahara desert! Farmers in Romania are digging out their pigs and taking them INTO their house! 30 ft high walls of snow in Japan.
I didn't save the link, but search 'Danube river', then click on "Why did the Danube freeze" link! PICS!!
Europe is calling this a Moscow Winter'.

Ice breaking up on Danube sunk a floating resturant yesterday. Boats, ships and barges being crushed by the ice flow. Pontoon bridges failing..
They got our winter!! Nobody noticed because Whitney Houston died and someone made a joke about aspirin being a 'birth control' method!
I think ALL stupid people should refrain from re-producing!! PILLS and RUBBERS for EVERYONE!!
