I actually say lightning hit a tree about 30 feet from our house. We had some tin foil over a broken window, and that foil was blown out of the opening.

That old cabin is long abandoned now and having real structural issues. It broke originally because the wood stove had a chimney fire and was glowing red while it was 34 degrees below zero outside. SNAP!
