Save the hard stuff for last

My nephew lost his 3 year battle with cancer today. Mike Brockey was 35.
We are 'happy' in a way, because he was told 3 years ago that he had 6 months.
We are sad, because Mike will no longer be with us.
Mike was a fighter. He leaves 3 children and a wonderful woman that made his life better behind.
His Mom, ( my little sister) poured her heart and soul into his care so his family could have a semi-normal life.

WIERD part.... As Mike was cooling down with family waiting for a hearse, a firetruck drove past the house. A hose had came loose and grabbed a cluster mail box, ripped it free from the concrete and smashed his Mother-in-laws car to pieces! Then 2 other cars were severely damaged by the hose and flying debris.
So, the family was not only making 'final' arrangements, a large percentage of them were looking for a rental car.

Just no end to it!

Sorry to hear of your loss CL. We lost 2 very close friends to cancer, and it sure is a brutile means.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Cublover. We've had a few folks locally pass from cancer in the last two years and its not the way to go. Hopefully the family can take some small measure of comfort to know that he's not suffering from it any longer.

He fought it all the way. He was a great kid/young man.
He would have achieved great things if this crap wouldn't have cut him short.

Thanks for the support.
