ATI Gun stock?
has anyone ever tried one of the ati gun stocks? I am looking at one for my Glenfield model 60 Marlin but would like to get some input first.. .. It says it needs minor modification to fit I dont want to go back to the old wood stock, and this is the only alternative I could find..

Cool Thankyou for the link Keith... I have it tore down now I finished re-blueing it this week, and now I need to clean all the mechanical parts inside for re-assembly. I will get some pictures up a.s.a.p of the finished product, and some of the parts before..

I've heard they make good stocks. I use a kerosene lamp, and a smoky flame to "soot " the action, and fit it in the stock to see where it needs trimming/bedding.Where ever the soot stays on the stock is a high point. If the action doesn't leave soot, you'll have to "bed" the stock in.

Yep I know what you mean I test fitted it before I started getting the rifle ready, and it fit pretty good but we will see when its actually time to bolt it in.. It might be a whole different story then as they mentioned in the instructions about having to make adjustments to fit it in there correctly..

I have a Romanian-made .22 bolt action,that I "liberated"in S.E. Asia,many years ago,and I'm thinking of getting an ATI stock,with a thumb hole,for it. Now,these are imported a lot,so I'm hoping ATI has one,already. If not ,I'd have to buy a blank,and do the inletting myself,but I think it would be worth it!
