Gravely 800 PTO Clutch Assemble

I have a Gravely 812 Tractor and have disassembled my PTO Clutch and have found the Cup Clutch worn out. I would like to know if the Clutch Assemble is suppose to have a lining around the edges where the Clutch Cups fit over or is it just metal. It appears to be in good shape but it does not have any lining on it, if it is suppose to. My Cups are shot but I would like to know if the Clutch Assemble can be reconditioned and where I might be able to have this done and what kind of cost factor would I be looking at. Thanks.

Forget reconditioning or rebuilding the clutch. The only way to fix it is to buy a new one from Gravely. Gravely developed a proprietary process with Raybestos that involves spraying the friction material onto steel. The result is a friction material that is hard, thin, and long lasting.

Yes, the parts cost about $300 and involves about 8 hours of work, but the clutch should last another 20+ years.

Engaging the PTO clutch at low engine RPMs will extend the life greatly.
