Old Snapper points question

I have an old snapper small riding mower, similar but not the exact model in the Forrest Gump movie, I figure late 60's-early 70's. I don't know model number but has 11hp Tecumseh engine. Not getting any spark, have heard can put electronic ignition points on. Will i need model number to get these and how do I install. Any advise would help.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum Macheki. No idea on that, but I just aquired a snapper mower with an Industrial Briggs on it that is super hard to start. The mower is like new in every regard, but certainly, by its style, at least 20 years old or so. Would like to do the same on mine to help start it easier.
