I thought I'd post something about my 68 snapper. I am the 2nd owner. It came with a 6 hp Tecumseh but the original owner replaced it with a new 8 hp Briggs a couple of years before I bought it, about 22 years ago. It was a pull start but me and my dad added electric start several years ago after I had neck surgery and he didn't want me pulling on it. Needless to say the old 8 horse Briggs is still going strong and the only thing I've actually done to it is replace all of the bushings in the front end and the tube connector bushing in the frame. Not bad for a 43 year old mower, huh?
