craftsman to murry

I bought a Murry wide body about two months ago. The engine was blown. The connecting rod was through the side of the block. I replaced the motor completely. Its running great. It was my first tractor i ever bought. I was given a craftsman 7 speed, and i kept the plow off of it. I used some of the supports from the craftsman to hook up the blade to the Murry. It works wonderful, now im looking for a snow blower that i could use the same hook ups as the plow, or just a blower that i can rig up my self. thanks.

Welcome to the forum,Sargentodd! I imagine,if you got the right unit,it would work. Many of the front-mount units can be adapted, with a bit of work.Just make sure the drive is the same position for the belts,so you don't have to make too sharp an angle for the belts.Good luck.

yea that's what i have heard. but im not sure how it would hook up tho. I currently dont have a blower for it. I'm looking for a blower. Ive scene them at lowes and home depot, but i dont know if they are universal.

How does the plow hook to the murray?

If it just hooks to the front axle- be wary of any frame cracking- its alot of stress on the front axle to plow snow - ive seen pics of people bending the frame at the front axle .

no it dont. It hooks up similar to the craftsman. It has a bracket that just bolts on to the front for when the plow is in the up right position. and it has to bars that run behind that plate that mount on to the undercarriage itself.
